The binder role
A printed inventory in a known physical location—often with the attorney’s contact sheet attached—gives heirs a starting point that does not depend on passwords.
Sync discipline
When you update the spreadsheet, pencil a revision date on the binder cover and schedule a print refresh. We provide a formatted export after full consultations; annual update sessions include a reprint.
Offline tracker alignment
Families using our Microsoft Store companion can mirror binder section headings in the app. The app stays local; the binder stays authoritative until you consciously sync.
Avoid duplicate masters
Pick one primary record. Secondary copies should say copy of master dated [date] to prevent arguments about which version is current.
